Both plants have names rich with auspicious meaning, and you can tell what they represent just from hearing the names, but people do not really understand these two plants, and many vendors also make incorrect claims when selling them, so today we will carefully explain exactly how to identify these two plants and what differences they actually have.

1. Radermachera hainanensis

These two plants are relatives and belong to the same family and genus. We should also understand that their real names are not these; these are names everyone gave them.

Radermachera hainanensis is actually Radermachera hainanensis, and its height is between 20 and 25 m. The color of its bark is light gray, its leaves are not short, with a length ranging from 4 to 10 cm, and a width in the range of 2 cm to 4 cm.

Its leaf veins are net-like, and the calyx and corolla differ in color, the former being pale red, while the latter is pale yellow. Its preparation before flowering is very long, requiring about seven or eight years before it can formally flower. Fruiting takes even longer, twice the flowering time, specifically 15 years after planting.

It likes light, and especially loves warm, humid environments. Moreover, it grows very quickly, is easy to keep alive, and is very easy to regenerate. It has flowers in two colors, one pale yellow and one white-green.

2. Radermachera sinica

Radermachera sinica, its bark is likewise light gray, the length of its leaves is between 4 cm and 7 cm, and its own height is around 15 m.

Its corolla has two colors, one of which, like Radermachera hainanensis, is pale yellow, while the other is white.

Its flowering period is extremely long, flowering for most of the year, with its specific flowering period between May and September, while October and December are when it fruits.

It likes places with high temperatures and relatively abundant sunlight, and its tolerance for cold is especially low.

3. Identification method

Actually, we can generally identify them just by the leaves: the leaf margin of Radermachera sinica is smooth, while Radermachera hainanensis is different, as it has serrations.
