Rabbits give most people the impression of being small, snow-white animals with a soft, gentle nature, but actually you only know one side of the story. There are many breeds of rabbits, including black, gray, and multicolored ones, and some rabbits are very fierce. So let's learn together what breeds of rabbits there are?

Rabbits can be divided into three major categories: domestic rabbits, hares, and pikas. In animal taxonomy, rabbits belong to the order Lagomorpha within mammals.

1. Polish Rabbit

The smallest of the purebred rabbits, with a round body and short head, both ears standing upright and close together, and short, dense fur.

2. Netherlands Dwarf Rabbit

One of the favorites of fans of cute animals. The dwarf rabbit is characterized by a large head and small body, with a round, full head shaped like an apple, and its ears are also noticeably much shorter and smaller in proportion than those of ordinary rabbits.

3. Dutch Rabbit

The Dutch rabbit has a V-shaped white patch on its face that extends to the lower jaw area. It is small in size, and its ears are relatively short as well. The area around the nose and from the neck to the front feet is white, while the other parts are black, blue, chocolate, gray, yellow (ARBA does not recognize yellow Dutch rabbits), tortoiseshell green, and copper-iron colors, among others. These color combinations produce roughly a dozen or so colors.

4. Cape Hare

It is a species in the genus Lepus, also known as the striped hare, Mongolian hare, and so on. It is relatively large in size, ranging from 36 to 54 m, with a relatively large tail, very long hind feet, and ears longer than those of other rabbits.

5. Chinese White Rabbit

A small, early-maturing breed, with a petite body, pure white all over, a delicate head shape, and a relatively short, pointed mouth.

6. Arctic Hare

Larger in size than domestic rabbits, with a stout body, and small ears and limbs; some have no tail.

Actually, there are still many, many breeds of rabbits. Everyone can buy breeds according to their own preferences. Some breeds are easy to raise, while some breeds are more troublesome.
