Nowadays, as people's living standards improve, free-range chickens raised by farming families are highly favored. But many chicken farms do not have the conditions for free-range chicken farming and mostly raise chickens in cages, so how can cage-raised chickens be given the flavor of free-range chickens?

In production practice there are 3 methods that can give cage-raised chickens the flavor of free-range chickens.

1. Feed cage-raised chickens green fodder, leaf mold, insects or grit, etc.

The leaf mold on the surface of woodland soil can be dried in the sun and then sieved, and mixed with leaf mold, green fodder, etc. to make chicken feed, in which leaf mold accounts for 70%-80%, green fodder accounts for 10%-20%, and leaf mold soil accounts for 5%-10%. The chicken meat fed by this method has a texture and taste similar to free-range chickens raised by farming families.

2. Fish meal is the animal protein feed for cage-raised chickens, but feeding fish meal for a long time will give the chicken meat a fishy smell. Adding 2% garlic powder to the feed can make the chicken meat's flavor stronger and purer.

3. Add “fattening chicken powder” to the feed of chickens being fattened.

The formula for “fattening chicken powder” is: cinnamon powder 50%, dried ginger powder 20%, licorice powder 9%, fennel powder 7%, cooked soybean powder 6%, ferrous sulfate 8%. Add it to the already prepared complete daily ration at a dosage of 1 gram per chicken per day. It can not only enhance the chickens' appetite, but also greatly improve the quality of the chicken meat.

Of course, doing business requires honesty. We can make cage-raised chickens have more of the taste of free-range chickens, but we must not directly sell cage-raised chickens as free-range chickens. We also need to explain this clearly to customers and safeguard consumers' right to know.
