Recently, under the influence of typhoons, many places have seen continuous rain and insufficient sunlight. For crayfish farmers during the plum rain season, this is a major challenge, because frequent rain washes surface filth, soil and other materials into the farming ponds, algae do not grow vigorously, the water body's self-purification capacity declines, microorganisms carry out anaerobic decomposition and produce harmful substances, causing the farmed crayfish to suffer chronic or acute poisoning, and it is most likely to cause the death of crayfish that are molting or have just completed molting. Prolonged insufficient light will cause a decline in the crayfish's ability to absorb calcium and a decline in their own immunity, leading to disease and even death in the crayfish. In response to the above situation, what measures do crayfish farmers have to deal with it?

Plum rain season diseases, countermeasures for crayfish farming

1. Under normal circumstances, quicklime is used once every half month; change this to once every 10 days, and use 10ppm-20ppm depending on the water quality. Dissolve in water and splash over the whole pond.

2. 3 days after using the disinfectant, use about 15 days later photosynthetic bacteria freeze-dried powder at 500 grams/mu.m, mix with clean water, activate at noon on a sunny day, and splash over the whole pond.

3. After several consecutive days of rainy weather, you can use 300 grams/mu.m of bacterial powder and 200 grams/mu.m of vc, mix with water and splash over the whole pond.

4. If the aquatic plants in the pond cover more than 1/3, the excess part should be cut off manually to increase the illuminated area of the pond and strengthen the crayfish's physique.

5. Feed high-quality feed, and add 2.5 thousandths of immune polysaccharide to the feed.

Note: Crayfish grow relatively quickly. After 3 to 5 months of rearing, when the adult shrimp reach a size of more than 30 grams, they can be caught and sold on the market. There are many catching methods, including shrimp cages, cast nets, drag nets or draining the pond to catch them. Catching adopts the method of catching the large and leaving the small; those that do not reach market size continue to be kept in the pond for rearing. It must be noted that before catching, drugs should be used cautiously for disease prevention and treatment, otherwise it will affect the crayfish recapture rate, commercial shrimp quality and farming benefits.
