What is the estimated price of donkey meat and a young donkey from 2018 to 2019?
Now on the market, if we talk about which livestock meat is the most expensive, I think there is probably nothing more expensive than donkey meat. Not only is it expensive, but it is also very hard to buy. The reason for this is that in recent years rural farming has become mechanized, and the scene of every rural household raising donkeys no longer exists. As our country's people's living standards rise day by day and consumption concepts constantly update, the demand for products from meat-type donkey production will also grow day by day. Now there are more and more donkey meat restaurants, and the market demand for donkey meat is growing larger and larger. So now the meat is getting more and more expensive. So what is the estimated price of donkey meat from 2018 to 2019? How much money can buy a young foal? According to Master Fan, a large meat-donkey breeding household in Shandong, the price of meat donkey in 2008 was 8 yuan/jin; in 2009, the price of meat donkey was 8.5 yuan/jin; in 2010, the price of meat donkey was 9 yuan/jin; in 2011, the price of meat donkey was 10 yuan/jin; in 2012, the price of meat donkey was 12 yuan/jin; in 2013, the price of meat donkey was 13 yuan/jin; in 2014, the price of meat donkey was 14 yuan/jin; in 2015, the price of meat donkey was 16 yuan/jin; in 2016, the price of donkey was 17 yuan/jin; in 2017, the price of meat donkey was 18 yuan/jin; it is expected that by 2018-2019 it will stabilize at around 20 yuan per jin, and even at this price it will still be in short supply. In addition, the price of meat donkey foals will be about 10 yuan per jin more expensive, so if one meat donkey foal weighs about 30 jin, then it is 900 yuan per foal.
Master Fan also revealed meat-donkey breeding techniques, as follows:
For meat-donkey feeding, meat donkeys mainly eat grass, and crop straw is best, such as millet straw, corn straw, bean straw and so on. When feeding, use a chaff cutter to cut it to about 3 cm in size. Do not feed half-dry, half-wet feed, as this will make the donkey sick. At the same time, also feed some concentrate, such as: roasted cottonseed, peas, corn and other concentrates or wheat bran, etc., feeding three times a day in the morning, noon and evening, with the evening being the most important. In the future, collective meat-donkey fattening will be a new direction for the development of meat-donkey breeders. Its characteristic is that specialized fattening donkey farms should be established. Through industrial mechanized fattening, labor productivity is greatly improved. This technique requires dividing different types of donkeys into several small groups within the barn and carrying out loose-housing management. The partitions between small groups are movable, which is conducive to adapting to changes in the number of donkeys and to mechanical removal of manure. In hot seasons, fattening donkeys can be kept in open pens or pens with sheds, and in winter they should be in the barn. Automatic drinkers and feed troughs should be installed in both the fattening yard and the small pens in the barn. The barn floor should be paved with asphalt. Feeding is completed by mobile coarse feed distribution machines and powdered compound feed distribution machines. Manure removal is completed by a bulldozer blade mounted on a tractor.
Donkeys should be checked, dewormed, weighed, and their body condition determined. It is required that donkeys in the same fattening batch have consistent body condition. The fattening of donkey foals should be organized into separate groups. Before receiving fattening. Then the donkey number, sex, age and body condition are registered. Usually 10% of donkeys will, for various different reasons, such as old age and gastrointestinal diseases, show no effect from fattening. These donkeys should be identified during the pre-feeding period of the first 1015 days, removed from the fattening group, and after reasonable feeding, slaughtered. This then forms a complete system.
The most important issue in meat-donkey breeding is, if more donkeys are to be bred, the current artificial breeding technology has not yet been widely promoted among rural breeders, but in large specialized breeding farms it is relatively mature. When selecting breeding donkeys for breeding, excellent breeds should be chosen, such as Shandong Dezhou donkey, Guanzhong donkey, Guangling donkey and so on. If conditions permit, artificial insemination can be chosen, or the most common natural meat-donkey mating method in rural areas can be chosen.
Note: The donkey is in the class Mammalia, order Perissodactyla, family Equidae, genus Equus. The horse and the donkey both belong to the genus Equus, also known as the two donkey, but they are different species. They share a common origin and are smaller in body size than horses and zebras, but share many common features with the genus Equus: the third toe is well developed and has a hoof, while the other toes have all degenerated.
The donkey's appearance resembles a horse, mostly grayish-brown, not mighty or majestic. It has a large head and long ears, a slightly narrow chest, weak limbs, and a relatively short torso, so its body height and body length are roughly equal, forming a square shape. The skin of the neck is thin, the hooves are small and solid, the constitution is robust, and its resistance is very strong. The donkey is very sturdy, tolerant of rough management, not prone to illness, and has advantages such as a docile temperament, hard work and endurance, and obedience to work.
