How much does a wild duck (Anseriformes) breedstock cost per bird? A detailed guide to the licensing process for captive breeding
Wild duck is a collective term for many species of wild ducks. Because of low costs and high returns, many people raise them, but since most are nationally protected animals, captive breeding requires obtaining the relevant permits. So how much does a wild duck breedstock cost per bird? Does captive breeding require permits? How do you apply?

Permits required for captive breeding:
For captive breeding, you first need to obtain the “Terrestrial Wild Animal Breeding and Domestication Permit”. Once you are able to operate and utilize them, you also need to obtain the “Terrestrial Wild Animal Operation Permit”. With these two permits, go to the industry and commerce administrative department to complete business registration, and to the animal husbandry bureau to obtain an animal quarantine certificate.
For applying for the domestication permit and the operation permit, the forestry departments of each province and region base their requirements on the “Wildlife Protection Law of the People's Republic of China” formulated by the state and on the actual conditions of each province and region, so the application methods and the materials to be submitted vary, though they are largely the same. The following is the basic licensing process, and we hope it can help breeding enthusiasts answer the questions in their minds.
