Shrimp meat is delicious and rich in nutrients, containing large amounts of vitamins, protein, and calcium, and can protect the eyes; therefore it has also become a delicacy on people's dining tables. So how much investment is needed to farm shrimp per mu? How much can be earned in one year?

How much investment is needed to farm shrimp per mu?

The prawn specification is calculated at 800 jin/mu, 40 to 50 head/jin:

The costs of prawn farming include: A, pond rent; B, shrimp fry; C, feed; D, medicine; E, electricity; F, labor; G, fixed facilities (such as: pond preparation costs, aerators, wires and cables, generators, switches, shrimp cages, signal baskets, boats, geomembranes, various water quality testing instruments, etc.). The cost of farming shrimp in the first year is about 9000 to 12000 yuan, specifically determined according to the local shrimp pond and surrounding supporting equipment conditions. According to the principle of maximum cost input and minimum income, the following answers are given according to the prawn output batches and different prices in various regions:

Fujian, Guangdong, and Guangxi generally farm three crops of shrimp a year, with the fry release time order: release fry at the end of March or early April (first crop of shrimp), release fry at the end of June or early July (second crop of shrimp), at the end of September or early October (third crop of shrimp, later requiring plastic film greenhouses, sold around the Spring Festival, with high prices);——first crop 20 yuan/jin, cost 12000 yuan, net profit 6000 yuan/mu; second crop cost 9000 yuan/mu, 18 yuan/jin, net profit 5400 yuan/mu; third crop cost 15000 yuan (requires building plastic film and raising temperature), 30 yuan/jin, net profit 9000 yuan/mu.

The cost and profit of shrimp farming

The largest costs of shrimp farming come from the purchase of shrimp fry and the input of shrimp bait. If you are a beginner, the prevention and control of shrimp diseases is also a very important cost, so if an old hand farms shrimp, the cost is not considered high; if a beginner farms shrimp, the cost is still relatively high.

At present, the market demand for shrimp is very large. Whether freshwater shrimp, crayfish, river shrimp, etc., market demand has been rising in recent years. Therefore, as long as shrimp are farmed scientifically, the profit margin is still very large.

How much can be earned by farming 1 mu of shrimp?

Farming freshwater shrimp has very considerable economic benefits and rich profits. Taking the stocking of 80 kg of breeder shrimp per mu as an example, the economic benefit analysis is as follows: stocking amount per mu: 80 kg/mu×60 shrimp/kg=4800 shrimp/mu; female-to-male ratio per mu: according to the natural female-to-male ratio, generally females are more numerous than males at an HR1:1 ratio; survival rate: generally the transport survival rate of shrimp seeds is 95%, and the farming survival rate is 80%;

Egg-bearing capacity: each female shrimp carries 200-600 eggs each time, the natural fertilization rate is 80%, the hatching rate is 40%, and the survival rate under natural conditions is only 10%. The annual number of egg-bearing and spawning times is 2-3 times, changing according to different regional natural temperatures.

Commercial shrimp weight: the common individual weight is generally 50-100g. Taking the minimum value for calculation, the yield per mu is about 400 kg. (number of female shrimp per mu)(minimum annual spawning times)(minimum annual egg-bearing capacity)(minimum natural survival rate)(minimum individual weight) The above yield has many uncertain factors. If the simulated ecological environment conditions are good and bait is sufficient, the unit yield will gradually increase. The test results show the lowest yield is 300kg/mu and the highest yield is 500kg/mu, but this does not rule out the impact of natural disasters and improper human operation on the yield per mu.

Output value per mu: 400kg×30 yuan/kg=12000 yuan/mu. The above price refers to the market crayfish sales conditions in peak season at 30 yuan/kg. Normal sales by farmers differ from wild fishing, as it is at the end of autumn and beginning of winter each year, so off-season prices can be expected to be higher. It also does not include the profit distribution of filter-feeding and herbivorous fish raised in the pond. Generally, mixed farming yields more than 300kg of adult fish per mu, with an average selling price of 6 yuan/kg, so the value increase per mu is more than 1800 yuan, and the output value per mu is more than 10000 yuan.

Input-output ratio: according to the price of bran and wheat bran agricultural by-products at 2 yuan/kg, feed coefficient: 2. Then the feeding cost of the yield per mu is 400 kg×2 yuan/kg×2=1600 yuan/mu, and the average annual management fee per mu is 500. The average seed and seedling cost per mu is 80 kg×60 yuan/kg=4800 yuan.

Then the total input is: 1600+500+4800=6900 yuan. Net profit per mu: 12000+1800-6900=6900 yuan/mu. Using the method of holding and raising for off-season sales, the selling price of crayfish in autumn and winter each year is between 24-40 yuan/kg, then the net profit per mu is between 10000-20000 yuan. Calculated this way, the benefit is still considerable.
