In many seafood shops, seafood is often kept in specially built seafood tanks, so what are the seafood tank aquaculture techniques?

1. Building the seafood tank

A seafood tank aquaculture system consists of refrigeration, water circulation, aeration, culture tanks, electrical control, lighting, ventilation and other parts.

1. Refrigeration system

The refrigeration system consists of a compressor, evaporator, condenser and temperature control device, and complete assembled products can be bought on the market. According to the differences in the temperatures required by different seafood, the refrigeration system should be set up separately and controlled separately.

2. Water circulation system

The water circulation system consists of a circulating water pump, filtration device, disinfection device and pipes. The filtration device can use filter materials such as sand filters, activated carbon and crushed coral, and the disinfection device can be equipped with ultraviolet disinfection or ozone disinfection. Plastic ball valves are best for the connecting valves, as they are easy to operate. For the pipes, plastic pipes are used with socket-and-spigot adhesive connection.

3. Aeration system

To increase the survival rate of seafood aquaculture, an aeration device is necessary. Motor-driven air pumps are generally used, as this kind of air pump has high power and high air pressure. However, air pumps are noisy when working, so they are generally installed in the machine room, and the air is sent through pipes to each fish box or culture tank.

4. Culture tanks and fish boxes

Culture tanks are mostly made of concrete, and some are larger plastic buckets or boxes. Fish boxes are generally bonded with silicone sealant; to protect the finished product and keep it warm, foam boards are placed under the bottom of the box, and titanium gold strips can be attached to the front seams for decoration.

5. Lighting and ventilation system

The lighting of the fish boxes is mainly to make them more ornamental, and fluorescent lamps, spotlights and the like can be used.

2. Seafood tank aquaculture techniques

1. Feeding by category

Different kinds of seafood differ in the bait they are fed, so their respective feeding habits should be understood and they should be fed accordingly.

2. Do inspection work well

Check whether the system equipment is running normally, whether aeration is sufficient, and whether the water flow is smooth.

3. Do cleaning work well

Clean up dead seafood in the culture tanks in time to avoid water quality deterioration caused by the rotting of dead seafood.

In addition, keep the environment around the aquaculture system hygienic; especially avoid any debris in the system's culture tanks, and be sure to prevent the introduction of unclean external seawater and other chemical substances into the filter bed. The upper gauze net should be cleaned regularly (usually once a week), and the filter bed should be thoroughly cleaned once every six months of use.

4. Do observation work well

Frequently observe whether the cultured seafood shows any abnormal reactions and whether the water quality remains good. When problems occur, find out the cause promptly and deal with them immediately.
