What are the treatment methods for grass carp hemorrhagic disease? Explained in one article
Hemorrhagic disease of grass carp is a common condition. How should it be treated? The editor of Tuliu.com will explain below.
I. Symptoms and Diagnosis
Based on the examination of the diseased fish brought in, the main symptoms were: no obvious symptoms on the body surface of the diseased fish, slight bleeding inside the gill cover, pinpoint bleeding in the muscle when the fish was cut open, no food in the intestinal tract, pale liver and spleen due to blood loss with pinpoint bleeding, and ascites in the abdominal cavity (see color insert 2). Based on visual inspection, it was basically determined to be grass carp hemorrhagic disease.
II. Treatment Methods and Results
(1) Splash 10% povidone-iodine at 500 ml per mu over the whole pond for 2 consecutive days.
(2) On the 3rd day, splash 0.7 g per sq m of copper sulfate over the whole pond. For every 50 kg of feed, add 250 g of Sanhuang powder (added after decoction), 100 g of 10% florfenicol, 100 g of Vc, and 10 g of Vk raw powder, and use a binder to attach them to pelleted feed for feeding.
(3) At the same time, when the grass carp were feeding around the feeder, splash 250 g of Ehuang powder water (decoction) for 5 consecutive days. On the 4th day after medication, fish deaths began to decrease, and by the 8th day fish deaths had basically stopped.
III. Summary and Experience
(1) Grass carp hemorrhagic disease is a viral disease with relatively high harmfulness, and treatment is very difficult. In production practice, the policy of giving priority to prevention and valuing prevention over treatment must be adhered to.
(2) Once grass carp hemorrhagic disease occurs, one should not panic at the sight of disease and let it develop unchecked; measures should be taken promptly to control the spread of the disease.
(3) From the analysis of the prevention and treatment effect in this case, it is possible that splashing the Sanhuang powder decoction played a certain role, and its actual therapeutic effect remains to be further explored and verified in the future.
