What feed makes pigs grow fast? Choosing the right feed is key
If you want pigs to grow fast, you can use mixed feed and compound feed. Pig feed should contain relatively high energy and protein, and low crude fiber. In addition, pig feed should use more green feed and less coarse feed, and the coarse feed used in the mix should be of good quality. Properly adding earthworm powder, pine needle powder and lysine to pig feed can not only make pigs grow fast and fat, but also relatively reduce feed consumption.

1. Choose improved-breed pigs
Improved-breed pigs are first-generation hybrid pigs, produced by crossing a Landrace or Large White boar with a local sow or a Sutai sow. The piglets have strong vitality, eat a wide range of feed, grow fast and have more lean meat.
2. Pig farming requires feeding compound feed
For piglets under 25 kg, it is better to feed CP 551A creep feed. For those over 25 kg, prepare a complete feed from a variety of raw materials according to the needs of different growth stages. It is fully nutritious and not wasted.
3. Pig farming should combine concentrated feed and green feed
Pigs cannot be fed only concentrated feed. A single concentrated feed is not fully nutritious, costs a lot, and makes pigs grow slowly. Combining concentrated feed with green feed provides complete nutrition, with more crude fiber, vitamins and minerals, at lower cost, and pigs grow fast.
4. Pig farming should use linear fattening
The traditional method of holding pigs on a frame has a long cycle, low meat yield and high cost, and should no longer be used. Instead, use the new linear fattening method. From weaned piglets to marketing, use linear fattening with a higher nutritional level. This can greatly shorten the raising period, advance and increase the marketing rate, and thus increase economic benefits.
5. Pig farming should feed thick mash
For pig farming, promote feeding pigs twice a day, and feed thick mash. Feed the first meal at around 8 a.m., the second at around 5 p.m., and add one feeding of green feed at around 12 noon to increase trace elements, save concentrated feed and reduce costs.
6. Pig farming should use high-density raising
Generally, 0.8 sq m of pig housing can raise 1 pig. This not only makes full use of the pig housing, but also, with more pigs competing for feed, weight gain is faster, the raising cycle is shortened and raising costs are reduced.
