After they become adult frogs, an escape-proof wall must be built around the frog pond, with a height of about 1.5 m and the pond water depth maintained at 1—1.2 m, and the feed amount should be increased.

1. Tadpole Stage

Newly hatched tadpoles are small, black, and poor swimmers. As they grow, their swimming ability increases, so they must be raised in the hatching pond for about 10 days before being transferred to the tadpole pond. Before the tadpoles are stocked in the pond, the pond must be cleaned thoroughly and disinfected with 200 PPM bleaching powder. If it is a mud pond, it must be disinfected with quicklime (75 KG per mu); after 7 days the effect of the quicklime disappears (and after test water is used), the tadpoles can then be put in.

2. Juvenile Frog Stage

After the tadpoles metamorphose, they should be transferred to juvenile frog ponds in a timely manner. Generally, 80-100 newly metamorphosed juvenile frogs can be stocked per square meter. After 30 days of metamorphosis, when the body weight reaches 25—50 g, 30—50 juvenile frogs can be stocked per square meter. To prevent cannibalism, they should be graded and raised according to size in a timely manner.

3. Adult Frog Stage

Adult frog ponds should generally be about 300 square meters, with the pond water depth maintained at 1—1.2 m. The land in the pond is overgrown with weeds (agricultural plants can also be planted), and there are water inlet and outlet openings. An escape-proof wall must be built, with a height of about 1.5 m. 10—20 frogs can be raised per square meter. The bait for adult frogs is the same as that for juvenile frogs, but the feeding amount is larger: 5% in May—June, and 20% in July—August.
