How to ferment sheep manure? A detailed explanation of the correct fermentation method
It can be composted and fermented, or you can add biological compound bacterial stock solution, water and cornmeal, mix them together and then ferment. Well-fermented sheep manure can be used as fertilizer for crops and flowers. If you have several tons of it, you can build a biogas digester to use it as fuel.
The specific method for fermenting sheep manure:
1. Take dry sheep manure out into the sun and bake it for a full day to remove insects and kill disease-causing bacteria, then crush the dry sheep manure, add water to the sheep manure and mix it evenly. The moisture content in the sheep manure is a necessary condition for how long fermentation takes, and also a necessary condition for whether fermentation is thorough enough. The moisture content for fermenting sheep manure is best controlled between 50%-60%. After mixing evenly, put it into a bucket, but do not fill it too full; about 80% full is enough. It is best if the bucket is the kind with a lid, as it will seal more tightly and will not attract insects into it.
2. If you want it to ferment quickly, you can add a little EM bacterial liquid when adding water and mixing evenly. This will greatly shorten the fermentation time; generally about 40 days is enough. On the third day of fermentation, roll the bucket on the spot a few times so that the fermentation material inside is turned and mixed evenly.
3. After sheep manure is piled for fermentation, it is stirred and combined with crushed straw and biological bacteria, then undergoes aerobic fermentation, crushing and granulation, serving as a high-quality organic base fertilizer for forage grass, so that manure waste achieves zero discharge. In this way, it not only solves the pollution problem of sheep manure, but also brings high-quality fertilizer to the planting industry.
In addition, everyone should be reminded that when using sheep manure as fertilizer, you must ensure it is fully decomposed and fermented. Otherwise, the E. coli, nematodes and other pathogens and pests it contains, if directly applied to farmland, will lead to the spread of diseases and pests, crops becoming diseased, and can also cause root burn and seedling burn.
