During the keeping period, an appropriate amount of pollen needs to be fed, especially during the breeding period, and each feeding must be sufficient and filling.

1. Keeping environment

The natural environment must ensure good ventilation, no water accumulation, and a moderate temperature, preferably in small hills and mountainous areas with trees. The specifications of the beehive must be suitable for the growth of the bees, with no holes or cracks, to prevent robbing behavior, and the hive must also be kept at a constant temperature. It is best to place the beehive about 50 cm above the ground, which can ensure sunlight while also providing shade and drainage.

2. Bee species selection

Note that bee stock cannot be introduced at will. When introducing bees, to ensure the purity of the bee stock, it is best to mainly use self-retained stock.

3. Feed management

The pollen-collecting ability of bees in China is relatively weak, and under normal circumstances the colony is in a pollen-deficient state, so an appropriate amount of pollen needs to be fed, especially during the breeding period, and each feeding must be sufficient and filling. The pollen can be made into a paste and placed not far from the beehive, so that the bees can carry it back to the hive.
