High-yield crayfish farming methods:

1. Farming pond selection

Select lakes, rivers and ditches, ponds or rice fields with a water depth of 1-1.2m, an area of 3-5 mu, and a pH value of 6.5-8.5 as crayfish farming ponds. Build mud ridges in the middle of the farming pond for crayfish to burrow holes, build slopes around the perimeter to prevent crayfish from burrowing out and escaping, and then build escape prevention boards around the slopes of the farming pond;

2. Preparation before stocking

Apply base fertilizer into the farming pond at a ratio of 300-500kg per mu, and plant aquatic plants to provide habitat for crayfish;

3. Stocking of crayfish fry

Select crayfish fry of the same size, healthy and lively, and stock them at a ratio of 8-9 per square meter in the morning or evening of a sunny day;

4. Feeding of crayfish

In weather with a temperature higher than 20 degrees Celsius, apply bait every day at 6-9 in the morning and 4-7 in the evening, and control the bait quality applied in the evening to be 3-4 times the bait quality applied in the morning; in weather with a temperature lower than 20 degrees Celsius, apply bait once every day at 6-9 in the morning or 4-7 in the evening;

5. Water body control of the farming pond

Change the water once every half month, each time replacing one-fifth to one-third of the water volume.

Although crayfish are an “invasive species”, they are deeply loved by a large number of diners because of their delicious meat. The current market demand is also relatively large, and the market conditions are also quite good, so farming crayfish is a good project choice.
