Detailed guide to chicken manure fermentation methods, simple steps that are easy to master
Currently, the main method for fermenting chicken manure is to use microbial fermentation to treat chicken manure. It not only speeds up the fermentation process, shortens fermentation time, prevents waste and improves the nutritional value of chicken manure; it can also dry the chicken manure through the heat generated by fermentation, saving energy, with low cost, simple operation and easy promotion.
The traditional old method of fermenting chicken manure into fertilizer is to let it pile up and ferment naturally for 5-6 months. This gives off odor, pollutes the environment and causes a large loss of nutrients. Using microbial fermentation to treat chicken manure not only speeds up the fermentation process, shortens fermentation time, prevents waste and improves the nutritional value of chicken manure; it can also dry the chicken manure through the heat generated by fermentation, saving energy, with low cost, simple operation and easy promotion, so it is increasingly gaining people's attention.
Fermentation raw material: healthy fresh chicken manure (preferably broiler chicken manure, which has higher nutritional value).
The raw material is chicken manure, but chicken manure can be divided into dry chicken manure and fresh chicken manure. Below we will discuss their fermentation methods:
1. Dry chicken manure: because dry chicken manure lacks water and cannot ferment, sufficient water must be added. After adding sufficient water, pile it into a large heap, then ferment it, and cover it with sealed plastic sheeting, so fermentation will be faster.
2. Fresh chicken manure: if it is fresh chicken manure, various auxiliary materials also need to be added during fermentation to absorb the water in the fresh chicken manure. Too much water easily leads to poor ventilation, and microorganisms cannot carry out fermentation. There are many kinds of auxiliary materials to choose from, and the purpose is to absorb part of the water in the fresh chicken manure. The auxiliary materials generally chosen are: sawdust, straw, plant ash carbon, etc. The ratio added is about: 70% chicken manure and 30% auxiliary materials. This ratio should be adjusted as appropriate according to the local soil quality and nutrient composition. For making fruit tree fertilizer or animal feed, bacterial strains, etc. must be added. Bacterial strains are available on the market.
