What are the requirements of grouper for farming conditions?
Grouper is an important economic species for coastal farming in the South China Sea. The South China Sea is surrounded by sea on all sides, and its geographical location has unique marine resource advantages, providing a rich resource guarantee for the development of the mariculture industry. More and more people are using ponds to farm grouper and cages and fish rafts to farm grouper. At the same time, because grouper prices continue to look good and sales are smooth, the scale of grouper farming has grown rapidly. So what are the requirements of grouper farming conditions?
1. What are the requirements of grouper farming conditions?
1. Site requirements must be noted
In artificial grouper farming today, grouper cannot simply be placed in the sea at will. So there is a cage farming method that uses the sea's natural resources, and then there is sea area farming and cage farming. This practice is simple and also saves a lot of profit. Of course, we must pay attention to the fact that grouper in winter is a very troublesome matter, so the water temperature in winter must be controlled. Of course, there is also a farming situation, namely pond fish. If you have a pond to farm grouper, you need to simulate the marine environment. This point is very important, otherwise the grouper may not adapt to the situation.
2. The selection of fry is also very important
When selecting fry, observation must be careful. First of all, choose active fry and do not cause too much damage to the surface of the fry. Such fry are the most suitable. In addition, when selecting fry, do not choose fry that are too large. Although they will grow very large in the future, they are very likely to damage the normal development of other fish. During the process of selecting fry, all fry should be the same size, and control will become very simple.
According to the different growth cycles of the fish, different classification treatments should also be carried out.
3. Disinfection must be done well
This is the prerequisite for fish farming, and then before releasing the fish, disinfection work must be done in advance. If traditional fish are disinfected one month in advance, grouper need to be disinfected two months in advance. Spread lime in the pond and let it dry for about a week. Then expose the entire pond to sunlight.
After disinfection, organic fertilizer needs to be added when injecting water to ensure the growth of plankton. When the grouper are put into the pond, the entire pond becomes an organic space. There is no lack of compactness. The whole process looks very simple, but it must be done hands-on.
4. Density requirements
This is an old topic. For ordinary fish, one acre can raise 1500, but for grouper, because it is relatively large, a 1500-mu pond seems a bit too much, as many as 1500. Then observe its growth cycle, wait until it rises to a certain level, and then put it back. With this slow cycle, the entire pond's ecosystem will also become complete.
5. The water temperature issue must be noted
Especially when raising grouper, the water temperature must be controlled. During the fry stage, the water temperature must be above 28 degrees to ensure the survival rate of grouper during the fry stage. The survival rate of grouper is very low, and this point is worth noting. For adult grouper, the water temperature should be above 33 degrees. This helps grouper enhance their adaptability. Do not let it fall below 25 degrees, especially in winter. Grouper are very likely to freeze to death. Among many novice farmers, this kind of thing is very likely to happen, that is, the water temperature cannot be controlled. Therefore, grouper deaths occur, and this point must be taken seriously.
2. What are the causes of black body in grouper?
Among grouper diseases, the most harmful viral disease is mainly nervous necrosis virus disease (commonly known as “black body”), especially more harmful to fry. Diseased grouper often show symptoms such as “black body”, lying on the bottom, “floating water”, white feces, green feces and liver atrophy. When the water temperature is 25-30°C, its pathogenicity is relatively strong. It will destroy the nervous system of grouper, reduce the fish's disease resistance, and trigger diseases caused by bacteria and parasites, and in severe cases directly cause mass death of grouper, bringing huge losses to farmers. Among them, the smaller the grouper, the greater the harm of “black body” and the higher the mortality rate. Once it breaks out, it often causes large-scale death of fry.
