Glasswing Growing Methods and Picture Appreciation
When growing glasswing, attention should be paid to temperature, humidity, light and other factors. Glasswing enters a dormant state under high temperatures; the best growing temperature is 15-30 degrees; humidity is best kept at 40%-60%, which ensures good growth of the plant; in summer, avoid direct sunlight to prevent wilting.
Glasswing Pictures and Growing Methods
1. First, prepare a good cutting medium, sterilized and disinfected; medium-coarse river sand can also be used, but wash it clean before use to prevent bacteria. Be careful not to use sand or gravel with too high a salt content. Early spring and late autumn are the peak growing seasons for glasswing. Cut along the stem, wait until the cut surface dries, then insert it into the medium and spray a little water. As long as the medium is not overly moist, it will take root. When the temperature is relatively high, cuttings rot easily, so it is best not to take cuttings then.
2. When potting, first place a certain amount of medium at the bottom of the pot for drainage, then sprinkle organic fertilizer on the medium to a thickness of about 1-2 cm, cover with another layer of medium of the same thickness. Then place the plant in; the fertilizer must not directly touch the plant's roots, to prevent fertilizer burn from damaging the roots. For the soil used to grow glasswing, you can choose garden soil, wood shavings and river sand mixed in appropriate proportions. After finishing, water accordingly, making sure to water thoroughly, and keep it in a shady place for one week of care.
3. Glasswing likes dryness; in an overly moist environment, it is very susceptible to threats from pathogens. The most suitable humidity is between 40% and 60%.
4. Glasswing is rather afraid of high temperatures. It can grow normally at temperatures around 15 to 30 degrees, and will enter a dormant state above 33 degrees. In winter, the room temperature should be kept above 10 degrees; never let the plant be damaged by cold due to excessively low temperatures.
