How to Grow and Care for Hydrangea
To grow hydrangeas, ensure plenty of fertilizer and water, fertilizing about once every half month. In summer when sunlight is intense, provide shade and never leave them exposed to direct sun. After the flowering period ends, remove the flower stems to encourage new branches.
How to Grow Hydrangeas
1. To cultivate hydrangeas, find a flower pot of suitable size, preferably a commonly used 15-20 cm pot. Then buy related spray bottles, scissors for pruning, fertilizer, and so on.
2. For potted plants, after they sprout in spring, water them thoroughly to ensure the leaves do not wilt. Keep the plant shape attractive. Spring is a transitional season, and hydrangeas will slowly begin to grow during this season.
3. During the flowering period from June to July, fertilizer and water must be sufficient, fertilizing once every half month or using "Huiyou" 21-7-7 acid fertilizer. When the sunlight is too strong in midsummer, provide appropriate shade to prolong the viewing period of the flowers.
4. After flowering, remove the flower stems to encourage new branches. Flower color is affected by soil pH: in acidic soil the flowers are blue, and in alkaline soil they are red. Repot once every spring. Prune appropriately.
