How should rabbit feed be formulated to be scientific and reasonable?
The rabbit feed formula for young rabbits is 30% corn, 23% soybean cake, 12% wheat bran, 10% rice bran, 20% grass meal, 2% bone meal, and 0.5% salt, fed at 10 g-20 g per rabbit per day, with an additional 50 g-100 g of green feed. After adulthood, the rabbit feed formula is 10% corn, 7% green hay, 5% soybean cake, 10% wheat bran, and 2% salt, fed at 120 g-150 g per rabbit per day, with an appropriate amount of green feed.
How do you tell male and female rabbits apart?
1. Among rabbits of the same breed, the one with a large frame, tall stature, and large head is the male rabbit; the opposite is the female rabbit.
2. A rabbit's rear has two openings, one above the other; the lower opening is for passing droppings, and the upper opening is the reproductive organ. Gently stroke the upper opening with a finger: if the opening is flat and slightly larger, and the distance to the anus is relatively short, it is a female rabbit; if the opening is round and slightly smaller, and the distance to the anus is relatively far, it is a male rabbit.
3. When a rabbit is two months old, feel the genital area near the anus with your hand: if you feel a fleshy lump slightly larger than a broad bean, it is a male rabbit; otherwise it is a female rabbit. However, the lumps vary in size, and sometimes it is hard to tell.
4. When rabbits are in heat, the male rabbit often strikes the ground forcefully with its hind legs to make a sound and chases after the female rabbit. At this time it is easy to tell them apart: the one running in front is the female rabbit, and the one chasing behind is the male rabbit.
