A Detailed Guide to Using Fenvalerate to Stun Shrimp
At night, spray fenvalerate evenly into the river ditch, then bury ground cages along the bank, and by the next morning you can go collect the crayfish that have crawled into the cages and been stunned. Although this method can catch shrimp, it is extremely toxic to crayfish and will directly stun them or even kill them; at the same time, the poison residue in their bodies cannot be completely removed whether by rinsing with clean water or by cooking, so it is best to use it as little as possible to avoid poisoning after eating.
How to use fenvalerate:
1. Control of cotton pests: For cotton bollworm, apply the pesticide at the peak of egg hatching and before the larvae bore into the buds and bolls, using 25-50ml of 20% emulsifiable concentrate per mu diluted with water for spraying. Cotton pink bollworm can also be effectively controlled at this concentration during the peak of egg hatching. It can also simultaneously control red spider mites, cotton leaf worms, diamond borers, leaf rollers, thrips, mirids and other pests. For cotton aphid, use 10-25ml of 20% emulsifiable concentrate per mu; for summer aphids, the dosage should be increased.
2. Control of fruit tree pests: For citrus leafminer, apply the pesticide in the early stage of new shoot growth in each season, using a 5000-8000 times dilution of 20% emulsifiable concentrate for spraying. It also simultaneously controls citrus aphids, leaf rollers, psyllids and others. For citrus scale insects, spray with a 2000-4000 times dilution of 20% emulsifiable concentrate at the peak of egg hatching.
3. Control of vegetable pests: For cabbage caterpillar, apply the pesticide when the 2nd-3rd instar larvae appear, using 10-25ml of 20% emulsifiable concentrate per mu. For diamondback moth, use 15-30ml of 20% emulsifiable concentrate per mu before the 3rd instar for control.
4. Control of soybean pests: For control of pod borers, apply the pesticide at the peak of soybean flowering and the peak of egg hatching, using 20-40ml of 20% emulsifiable concentrate per mu, which can effectively prevent pod damage and also simultaneously control aphids and cutworms.
5. Control of wheat pests: For control of wheat aphids and armyworms, apply the pesticide during the occurrence period of wheat aphids and when the 2nd-3rd instar larvae of armyworms appear, using a 3000-4000 times dilution of 20% emulsifiable concentrate for spraying.
(1) To control peach fruit borers, pear fruit borers, nettle caterpillars, leaf rollers and others on jujube trees, apple trees and other fruit trees, during the adult egg-laying period and before the newly hatched larvae bore into the fruit, spray a mixture of 3000 times 20% fenvalerate emulsifiable concentrate + 1000 times fruit-tree-specific “Tianda 2116”, which can kill eggs and larvae, prevent fruit boring, and its residual effect can last 10-15 days with a high fruit protection rate.
(2) To control snout moths, leaf moths and others, spray a mixture of 2000-3000 times 20% fenvalerate emulsifiable concentrate + 1000 times fruit-tree-specific “Tianda 2116” solution in the early stage when larvae emerge from dormancy to cause damage; the insecticidal and leaf-protecting effect is good, and it can also simultaneously control aphids, psyllids and others.
(3) To control leafhoppers, leafminers and others, spray a 4000-5000 times dilution of 20% emulsifiable concentrate in the early stage of adult egg-laying; the insecticidal and leaf-protecting effect is good.
(4) To control leaf-eating pests on jujube trees, apple trees and other fruit trees such as nettle caterpillars, tent caterpillars, apple prominent moths and others, spray a 2000-5000 times dilution of 20% emulsifiable concentrate when young larvae are at their peak and causing concentrated damage.
The above is the relevant introduction to the method of using fenvalerate to stun shrimp. We hope it is helpful to everyone.
