How do you catch bamboo partridges? Sharing a few practical methods
The bamboo partridge is a very beautiful ornamental bird, with extremely vivid feather colors, mainly inhabiting the southern regions of our country. Its nutritional value is also high, and its market value is high as well. So how do you catch bamboo partridges?
Catching bamboo partridges is a skill, it is a conversation with the bamboo partridge, and requires attention to technique, otherwise the chance of coming up empty is quite high. Some experience is summarized as follows:
1. Calling the mountain: it is recommended to use the female loud call for two complete calls, then stop for one minute. If there is no response, use the fine female lure for two complete calls, then stop for one minute. If there is still no response, use the bamboo partridge king boom. If there is no response, just leave. After the bird responds, do not get excited. Listen to whether it is a single bird or a group of birds, whether it is a strong bird or a weak bird. If it is a weak bird, do not set up the ground.
2. Finding the ground: this is the most important. In principle, dense on top and sparse below, and it is best if one side is impassable, that is, at least one side is a ridge or a ditch. The ground and the bird should be on the same plane, or the ground slightly higher, and the closer to the bird the better.
3. Setting the snares: 4-6 gate snares to protect the decoy, the remaining gate snares can be set in C, W, U, A, O and other formations. Except for leaving 2-3 bird paths, seal off the rest. The electronic decoy should best be 2-3 m away from the snare formation (anyway, that is how I do it). Note: snares should also be placed behind the electronic decoy, because a considerable number of birds will come from behind. If you can confirm it is a single bird, 4-6 snares to protect the decoy will be enough.
4. Playing the sound: use the mountain-raising female cluck instead of silent mountain for 5-10 minutes
