How to Grow Aloe Vera Hydroponically and Things to Watch Out For
Growing aloe vera is quite common now, and many friends can do it at home. Besides growing it in soil, there is also the hydroponic method. So are you clear on how to grow aloe vera hydroponically?
How to Grow Aloe Vera Hydroponically
1. Light
Since it is hydroponic, the factor of light cannot be ignored either. After the aloe vera is planted, it can be placed in a cool spot, but it must never be exposed to direct sunlight. To let its roots grow normally, we can cover the lower part of its container with black cloth. Once the roots have grown well, it can gradually be allowed to enjoy the sunlight.
2. Adding nutrient solution
Before the aloe vera roots have grown well, there is no need to add any; wait until it has adapted to the hydroponic environment before adding it, and after that it should be replaced every half a month or a month.
3. Temperature
In winter, as long as the indoor temperature stays above 5 degrees, it can safely overwinter. But it needs to be placed in a spot indoors with more light. If you want it to bloom as early as possible, you can adjust the room temperature to above 10 degrees.
4. Changing the water
For hydroponics, clean water is best, and you should also pay attention to changing the water often, ideally once every 2 to 3 days. During this time, also promptly remove any rotten roots and clean the container to keep the water clean.
Growing aloe vera hydroponically is actually not difficult; you just need to pay attention to the daily water changes and the usual details.
