What are the first aid methods for crayfish oxygen deprivation?
During crayfish farming, once oxygen deprivation occurs, an aerator can be used to aerate the pond, or an oxygen-increasing agent can be sprinkled into the pond for first aid.
In addition, the solutions to crayfish oxygen deprivation caused by different reasons are also different:
1. If the number of crayfish in the water is too dense, it can also cause crayfish oxygen deprivation. If there are mature individuals among them, part of them can be harvested first, or they can be divided into separate ponds for farming;
2. If the water is too fertile and too much bait is fed, it is easy to cause the water quality to become too dense, leading to crayfish oxygen deprivation. Normally, the pond should be cleaned in time, and the farming water should be replaced regularly;
3. If the aquatic plants in the pond are too luxuriant or the aquatic plants rot, it will also cause insufficient oxygen in the water body, thereby affecting the growth of crayfish. Rotting and excess aquatic plants should be cleaned up regularly, and the area of aquatic plants should be controlled.
Notes on crayfish farming
1. Scientific and reasonable stocking density and feeding are needed. On the premise of ensuring that crayfish will not suffer from oxygen deprivation, crayfish can also have sufficient nutrients needed for growth;
2. Keep the pond water fresh. Generally, quicklime can be used once about every half a month. This can effectively maintain the pH value and reduce the crazy growth of algae. In addition, it can also degrade ammonia nitrogen and provide the calcium needed by crayfish.
