Breeding Methods for Marble Goby

1. Pond Conditions

The pond area is 0.15-0.4 hectares, with a water depth of more than 1.5 m. It should have little silt, conditions for changing the water, and good water quality.

2. Stocking Fry

Fingerlings should be stocked when the weather is stable and the water temperature is above 20°C, at 2000-3000 fish per mu. Before stocking, they can be soaked in a 10 microgram potassium permanganate solution for 10 minutes to disinfect and prevent disease. The fry should first be kept in a corner of the pond enclosed with a fine-mesh net for 2-3 weeks, and then released into the large pond with a cast net.

3. Feeding

After growing to 2 cm, they begin to prey on young fish, shrimp and small insects. Therefore, before stocking the fingerlings in artificially farmed ponds, the pond water should be cultivated to contain a certain amount of zooplankton, and some fry should be stocked appropriately. After the fingerlings enter the large pond, they can continue to be fed appropriately sized fry (shrimp fry), or during the fingerling growing-out stage they can be trained to eat chilled fresh and low-value trash fish, right through to grow-out.

Farming marble goby is actually not difficult, so interested friends can give it a try.
