How to Raise Sea Crabs? Detailed Explanation of Breeding Methods and Key Technical Points
Sea crab meat is delicious and nutritious, making it a highly popular delicacy. Of course, live sea crabs are the best to eat. Below, the editor will tell youhow to raise sea crabs.
1. Preparation for rearing
For first-time rearing, please soak them in warm salt water for a 1-2 minute seawater bath to remove parasites or louse-like organisms. New crabs usually burrow into the sand for several days to several weeks to adapt to the new environment. During this time, reduce disturbance, place them in a relatively dark and quiet place, and keep changing the food daily while maintaining appropriate temperature and humidity.
2. Environment selection
Try to find a location relatively close to a window, or a place where sunlight can slant in, but avoid direct exposure to strong sunlight. Place the tank in a lower position, with the top edge of the tank exactly at the lower edge of the window. The setup should include more hiding places, especially small huts, to match their habits.
3. Rearing tank
The fish tank used for rearing should be somewhat large. Place some stones, fine sand, and aquatic plants at the bottom of the tank, pour in sun-exposed tap water, and the water should cover the crab shells.
4. Daily management
Feed 1-2 times a day, with the amount of food based on what is eaten within half an hour. Clean the crabs regularly, and the fish tank should also be washed. Change the water every three days, and after changing the water, sprinkle quicklime to sterilize and disinfect.
Because the water used for raising sea crabs easily breeds bacteria, everyone must regularly change their water so as to ensure they have a healthy living environment.
