How to keep tiger barbs
1. Prepare a rectangular fish tank; do not pour tap water directly in, it must first be left to sit in the sun. Generally, leave it in the sun for 2 hours.
2. Decide whether to install an oxygenator based on the size of the tank and how many fish you keep, and install a filter in the tank. Tiger barbs are tropical fish, and their suitable growth temperature is 24-28°C. A heater rod can be installed in the tank to prevent the water temperature from dropping.
3. When adding water to the tank, a small amount of coarse salt can be added, and a few aquatic plants can also be placed in the water.
4. Tiger barbs are omnivorous animals and like to eat live foods such as bloodworms, fish worms, and frozen bloodworms; they also eat pellet feed and dry feed. Besides these, vegetables and fruits are also fine. Newly purchased tiger barbs are not suited to eating because they have not yet adapted to the environment. After resting quietly for 2-3 days, if their condition is good, they can basically be fed. Bloodworms can be used as a starter food, and a small amount of feed can be used as the main food to slowly condition them. Once a routine is formed, give priority to fish feed, and feed live food 2-3 times a week.
5. Do not change the water frequently; each time you change the water, leave 1/3 of the old water in the tank.
6. Tiger barbs are not suitable for being kept alone; it is best to keep several together. When keeping tiger barbs, do not mix them with ornamental fish that swim too slowly or tropical fish with long fins, as tiger barbs are prone to biting them.
Tiger barbs are relatively easy to care for. The main thing is to ensure good water quality and water temperature, and then they can live freely and comfortably.
