How to Keep Panda Fish? Detailed Guide to Care Methods and Precautions
Panda Fish, also known as Panda Moonglow or Panda Sword, is a livebearing ornamental fish that is relatively popular among aquarium pets. So do you know how to keep it?
How to keep Panda Fish?
1. Water changes
Water temperature is crucial to the growth and development of fish. The temperature for Panda Fish should be around 25, and small fish generally like aged water. As long as it is not too cloudy, do not change the water too frequently. Be careful to promptly clean up feces and leftover food, so that the water quality does not deteriorate when summer temperatures are high. In addition, when changing the water, be careful that the water quality and temperature do not differ too much. The water temperature change must not exceed plus or minus 2 degrees. Try not to put disinfectant into the water.
2. Feeding
Adult Panda Fish can be fed solid pellet feed, and can also be fed paramecia, brine shrimp, and tubifex worms. Among these, brine shrimp eggs can be bought at fish shops and hatched for feeding. Young Panda Fish can be fed egg yolk. When feeding, crush it and wrap it in gauze, then shake it in the fish tank while feeding; or grind it into powder and put it into the water. The feed will soften in the water, and the small fish can eat it. Feed 2-3 times a day, and it is best if each feeding is finished within 20 minutes.
3. Disease prevention
Small fish are weak, so be careful not to let them get sick. If they are sick, treat them immediately, preferably with special medication.
