How to grow green water? Mastering the right method is key
It is often said that good water produces good turtles, and turtles that come from good water are mostly beautiful turtles. So how do you grow green water?
1. How to grow green water
Cultivating green water is actually very simple; just get the lighting, nutrients, and temperature right. But first you have to get an algae seed source. In fact, the air contains the spores of various kinds of algae, so you could say that all you need to do is find a sunny spot, fill a basin with tap water, then leave it under the sun to bake, and the water will naturally turn green.
Or, if you want to speed up the growth of the microalgae, you can go to a pond or to someone else's place that has green water and scoop some out, then pour it into your own water and just leave it in the sun.
However, after all, the nutrients in tap water are limited, and ammonia nitrogen needs to be added from outside. The simplest way is to add a few fish to the water. Fish droppings are the best fertilizer for growing water. After the fish are added, all you have to do each day is simply feed them some food; of course, feeding them once every few days will not starve them to death, since the fish can eat the green algae to fill their bellies.
