How to Keep a Leopard Cat? Care Methods and Precautions
The leopard cat is a felid native to Asia, roughly similar in size to a domestic cat, so how do you keep a leopard cat?
1. Food
The leopard cat needs sufficient nutrition, so you cannot feed them only cat food; you should regularly give them some meat to meet their daily nutritional needs.
2. Bathing
The leopard cat has a certain ability to clean itself, so it does not need frequent bathing. Otherwise, it can easily cause physical discomfort.
3. Keeping Warm
In winter, you should pay attention to keeping the leopard cat warm; in the place where they sleep, lay an extra layer of cotton soft cushion so they can sleep warmly and comfortably in winter.
4. Exercise
The leopard cat needs exercise; they have a strong running ability, so they should not be kept in a cage. It is best to keep them outdoors with some space to run.
The leopard cat is a nocturnal animal, usually feeding on rodents, birds, fish, reptiles and small mammals. Apart from the mating season, they are generally solitary.
