How to keep a zebra pufferfish? Keeping methods and precautions
The zebra pufferfish is a large pufferfish, named the zebra pufferfish because it has yellow stripes and its markings resemble those of a zebra. So how do you keep a zebra pufferfish?
1. Environment
Do not keep too many zebra pufferfish in the tank, because the zebra pufferfish is quite aggressive; it will attack even its own kind, so it should be kept separately.
2. Feeding
The zebra pufferfish is a carnivorous animal, so it must be fed some meat-based foods. There are quite a lot of foods you can feed it, such as: small shrimp, small loaches, frozen shrimp, etc.
3. Water temperature
The suitable water temperature for keeping zebra pufferfish is 24°C—28°C. In winter, when the temperature drops relatively quickly, you can buy a heater to warm the water. This can make the zebra pufferfish grow a bit faster.
4. Water quality
Give the zebra pufferfish some appropriate sunlight, as this is good for its growth. The water for keeping zebra pufferfish should be replaced in good time after a period, to avoid the water deteriorating.
The zebra pufferfish is very interactive. After keeping it for a period, you can hold food in front of the tank to tease it, and it will swim back and forth following the food. It is very cute.
