How to Raise a White Java Sparrow? Detailed Guide to Care Methods and Precautions
The white java sparrow is a bird bred in Japan. When it is a chick, the feathers on its back are gray; after it becomes an adult, its feathers are snow-white and its beak and feet are red, very beautiful. So how do you raise a white java sparrow?
1. Environment
The white java sparrow is not suitable for mixed keeping; it is best to keep it in a separate birdcage. The bottom sand in the cage should be replaced once every 3 days; it is best to wash it and dry it in a cool place for later use. In summer, pay attention to sun protection and ventilation.
2. Feeding
There should be no fewer than 3 kinds of food for daily feeding. Java sparrows like to eat paddy rice, millet, broomcorn millet, hemp seeds, and so on. You can also feed them some washed vegetable leaves, such as rapeseed leaves and cabbage.
3. Temperature
In winter, the indoor temperature should preferably be 20°C. A temperature below 15°C will affect the bird's incubation and chick rearing. Therefore, attention should be paid to keeping warm in winter.
Do not help trim the white java sparrow's wings; it is very easy to make it infected with bacteria, or to injure it when it jumps. When we raise white java sparrows, we should pay more attention to their mental state, and treat problems promptly when discovered.
