How to Raise White Pigeons? Detailed Explanation of Breeding Methods and Key Technical Points
Pigeons were once the main means of transmitting information in the past, but now they are mostly kept for ornamental purposes, so how do you raise white pigeons?
1. Environment
The prerequisite for raising white pigeons is that the surrounding environment must not be noisy, and the pigeon house should be set up in a sunny, well-ventilated place free of natural enemies, and it must be ensured that the pigeon house is not damp, protected from rain and moisture, has an adequate water source, and stays warm in winter and cool in summer.
2. Site
The size of the pigeon house depends on the situation. The bottom should be lined with wire mesh, and each cage can hold one pair of white pigeons. In front of the pigeon cage, a wire fence should be used to enclose an activity area. White pigeons will fight over territory, and keeping them together will reduce their survival rate.
3. Feeding
When raising white pigeons, feed and water them at fixed points and fixed times. The feed for white pigeons is mainly coarse grains, such as buckwheat, sorghum, etc. You can also feed them some vegetable leaves, etc. At least two kinds of feed should be mixed together when feeding.
The pigeon house should be cleaned promptly, attention should be paid to the hygiene and disinfection of the pigeons, and it is best to vaccinate them in advance.
