Langshan chicken: The Langshan chicken is one of the dual-purpose breeds raised for both eggs and meat. It is known for laying many eggs, large egg size, a plump and robust body, and delicious meat, and it is divided into black and white types according to feather color. The black one is called “Langshan Black”; its feathers are black with a green or blue sheen, glossy and brilliantly colored. The Langshan chicken originated in Rudong County, Jiangsu Province, centered on Matang and Chahe, and also distributed in Juegang, Pincha, Fengli, and Shuangdian, as well as in Shigang Town in Tongzhou District and other places.

Nandan Yao chicken: The Nandan Yao chicken originated in the Yao villages at an altitude of 800-1000 m in the two ethnic townships of Lihu and Baxu in Nandan County, Guangxi. It was originally a wild chicken population, produced in the deep mountains and old forests, and was formed into an excellent local chicken breed after being captured and domesticated and bred by the local Baiku Yao people. It is one of the four famous chickens of Guangxi.

Wenchang chicken: This chicken was first produced in Tianci Village, Tanniu Town, in the Wenchang area. Wenchang chicken is beautifully plated, pale yellow and glossy in color, with crisp skin, tender meat, and a fresh taste; eaten with dipping sauce, it is fragrant in the mouth and exceptionally smooth. It ranks first among the four famous dishes of Hainan.

Qingyuan partridge chicken: Originating in Qingxin County, Qingyuan City, Guangdong Province. Also known as Qingyuan free-range chicken, it is a domesticated native chicken. Because the hen has tiny black spots on the side feathers of its back, it is called partridge chicken. It is famous for its small body size, well-developed subcutaneous and intramuscular fat, thin skin, and soft bones, and has long been one of China's small meat-type chickens for live chicken export.

Gushi chicken: The Gushi chicken belongs to the yellow chicken type and has the characteristics of laying many eggs, large eggs with thick shells, and stable genetic performance; it is a dual-purpose chicken for eggs and meat. The feather color is mainly yellow and yellow partridge, with blue legs, blue feet, and a blue beak, and a medium body size. It is characterized by tolerance to coarse feed, strong disease resistance, and tender meat. The Gushi chicken is an excellent chicken population with outstanding characteristics, formed through long-term selective breeding in a certain area centered on Gushi County, Henan Province, under specific geographical and climatic conditions and traditional feeding and management methods.
