The body color of wild fish is yellowish or white; the color inside the mouth and on the belly of farmed fish is mostly black, mainly because wild fish mostly live in clear, pollution-free water, and over time the color changes.

Difference 4: Different meat quality

Wild fish meat is relatively firm and chewy to eat, but the taste is very fresh and tender, which farmed fish cannot match. Farmed fish meat is relatively loose, tastes oily, and the flavor is not very fresh and tender.

Difference 5: Different price

The market price of wild fish is a little higher, generally about 1-2 yuan per jin more expensive than farmed fish, but they are rarely available on the market, and even if there are some, most are mixed in with farmed fish by distributors and sold together.
