There are many small dog breeds, such as the Poodle, Pomeranian, Schnauzer, Chihuahua, Bichon Frise, Pug and Corgi.
1. Poodle
The Poodle is a lively, very people-friendly and agile breed, now found all over the world; the Poodle's ancestors may have been the French Barbet, the Portuguese Water Dog, the Spanish Water Dog, the Hungarian Water Hound and others.
2. Pomeranian
The Pomeranian is a German Spitz whose place of origin is Germany; the Pomeranian is small and cute in build, a breed suited to being a companion dog, and its coat colour is mostly white and brown.
3. Schnauzer
The Schnauzer belongs to the terrier group and also originated in Germany; the Schnauzer can further be divided into 3 breeds: the “Standard Schnauzer”, the “Miniature Schnauzer” and the “Giant Schnauzer”, and its ancestry contains the bloodlines of the Poodle and the German Wirehaired Doberman.
4. Chihuahua
The Chihuahua is a small dog breed with a variety of coat colours; its coat colours include light brown, chestnut, white, cream, red, brown, and black with tawny markings, and it also has patches or spots on its body.
5. Bichon Frise
The Bichon Frise originated in the Mediterranean region and is a dainty, sturdy white dog breed with a cheerful character; because the Bichon Frise does not shed naturally, its coat needs to be groomed regularly.
6. Pug
The Pug originated in China; the Pug is rather clean and also fairly easy to keep. As for the food fed to a Pug, the meat (beef, chicken, fish) must be fresh, and the fish must have the bones removed; the amount can be based on the dog's body weight and size, with 180-220 grams being appropriate. It must not be fed in excess, otherwise it will become fat and lose its cute appearance.
7. Corgi
The Corgi's full name is the Welsh Corgi; the Corgi is very bold and also very alert, able to help guard the home. The Welsh Corgi is a breed brought over by Flemish workers, and because of its fox-like head, some people also think the Corgi is closely related to the ancestors of spitz-type dogs.
