What animal is actually the natural enemy of chimpanzees?
At the mention of chimpanzees, everyone is surely familiar with them. They are close relatives of humans and one of the four great apes. Aside from humans, they have the highest level of intelligence, and you can see them every time you visit the zoo. So what is the natural enemy of chimpanzees?
1. What is the natural enemy of chimpanzees?
Chimpanzees have no natural enemies. Chimpanzees have a body length of 70-92.5cm, stand 1-1.7 m tall, have arms 24cm long, and their upper body strength is 20 times that of a normal man. They have a strong sense of territory, and generally when other animals invade their territory, they use physical force to fight back.
2. What is the difference between chimpanzees and gorillas?
1. Chimpanzee
The chimpanzee, one species with two subspecies. A close relative of humans and one of the four great apes, native to western and central Africa. They are the most advanced primates alive today with the closest blood relation to humans, one of the two species in the genus Pan, and also the most intelligent creature today aside from humans.
The bonobo, also known as the pygmy chimpanzee, the dwarf chimpanzee, or the gracile chimpanzee, belongs to the same genus as the chimpanzee. Today bonobos survive only in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, in the wild and endangered. Like chimpanzees, bonobos are likewise one of the species closest to humans. Because animals of the genus Pan are all poor swimmers, this may have led to the evolutionary divergence between bonobos and chimpanzees, which lived north and south of the Congo River 1.5-2 million years ago.
2. Gorilla
The gorilla is the general term for the apes of the genus Gorilla in the family Hominidae of the order Primates. They are the largest animals in the order Primates, living in the jungles near the equator of the African continent, and they are herbivorous. Gorillas share 92% to 98% of their DNA arrangement with humans, so they are, after the two species of the genus Pan, the living animals closest to humans.
Gorillas, two species with four subspecies: the western gorilla, including the western lowland gorilla and the Cross River gorilla as two subspecies; and the eastern gorilla, including the eastern lowland gorilla and the mountain gorilla as two subspecies. The picture shows a western gorilla.
