What to Do When Lucky Bamboo Leaves Droop? Causes and Solutions
1. Lighting problems
(1) Cause: This is the most likely cause. This plant's habit is to prefer indirect light. That is to say, if the light is too weak or too strong, both are unfavorable. Specifically, if the light is too strong, or the light duration in a day is too long, then its leaves will wilt.
(2) Solution: Normally, we can place it on a windowsill or similar spot. These places can receive indirect light without it being too strong. If the light is very strong, take shading measures in time. However, in winter, you can appropriately increase the light. Still, you must also be careful that it is not too strong.
2. Temperature problems
(1) Cause: This aspect mainly refers to winter. It has relatively high temperature requirements. Especially in winter, if the temperature is below ten degrees, its leaves are prone to drooping.
(2) Solution: It is best to keep the temperature between 22 and 25 degrees. If conditions do not allow it, the minimum should not be below ten degrees.
3. Fertilizer problems
(1) Cause: If too much fertilizer is applied, or the concentration is very high, it is likewise harmful. First, its roots will suffer fertilizer damage. Then, its leaves may droop.
(2) Solution: Do not apply too much fertilizer at one time, and use a more diluted one.
4. Water quality problems
(1) Cause: This mainly refers to hydroponic displays. If the water is not fresh, the roots may rot first, and the leaves will be harmed afterward.
(2) Solution: Try to use clean fresh water, or cooled boiled water.
