December 2019 White Feather Chicken Prices and Key Points of Farming Technology
White feather chicken, as the name suggests, is mainly characterized by white feathers and has the main traits of a fast-growing meat chicken. White feather chickens grow quickly and lay many eggs, giving them high economic value. So what were the prices of white feather chickens in December 2019? And what are its farming techniques?

II. Farming Techniques for White Feather Chickens
1. Water Lines
Height of Water Lines: When the water lines in the chicken house are too low, it makes drinking difficult for the chickens. When chickens tilt their heads to drink or the water pressure is too high, the excess water is wasted and falls into the cups below. If the cups are not cleaned for a long time, this can lead to frequent enteritis in the flock. This is especially true when white feather chickens are raised on the ground; if the litter is damp, the broilers moving on it are very prone to worsening enteritis, and over time a vicious cycle forms.
For sick chickens, especially those with diseases such as synovial mycoplasma, consider isolating the sick birds, using buckets for feeding, or lowering the water lines to provide water separately, so as to avoid infecting healthy broilers.
Clogged Water Lines: During the farming process, the water lines must be cleaned regularly to reduce the buildup of impurities in them. If the water lines become clogged, they should be cleared promptly, especially for caged chickens. Because clogged water lines prevent the chickens from drinking for a long time, the entire cage of chickens may become listless.
2. Feed
Feed Troughs: Adding too much feed at one time to the troughs makes it easy for the feed to spill out and be wasted; if the chickens cannot finish the feed in a short time, the feed easily becomes moldy, which can trigger digestive tract diseases throughout the flock. This situation is most common during the brooding period, so under cage-rearing conditions, the practice of adding one bucket of feed and feeding it for three days must be eliminated.
Cleaning the Troughs: Many farmers add feed as soon as it is nearly eaten up, without cleaning the leftover feed at the bottom of the trough. This feed is pressed underneath and, in the high-temperature, high-humidity environment of the chicken house, easily clumps and becomes moldy; chickens that eat it are highly prone to illness. Therefore, trough cleaning must be carried out regularly to ensure the health of the flock.
3. Medication
At present, for treating viral diseases, conventional drugs are still mainly traditional Chinese medicines. Under large-scale farming conditions, mixing medicine into feed is a very labor-intensive task. Some farmers cut corners and still use feed lines to add and transport the medicine. This causes much of the traditional Chinese medicine to settle, so a large portion of the chickens do not get the therapeutic drug, making the treatment results unsatisfactory. Technical personnel also need to take this factor into account when administering medicine, and pay attention as much as possible when using traditional Chinese medicine.
No pain, no gain. Only by carefully tending to every stage of white feather chicken farming can their competitiveness be improved and, in the end, a good price be obtained.
