We all know Changshan County, but today the editor is not going to introduce Changshan County, but a Chinese medicinal herb called Changshan. Changshan can be used to resolve phlegm, dispel dampness and treat indigestion, and it also has a certain regulating effect on the spleen, stomach and liver. So how is Changshan planted? Now follow the editor to learn about Changshan planting techniques.

1. Planting Environment

In China, Changshan is mainly planted in Jiangxi, Hunan, Hubei, Yunnan, Sichuan, Guizhou and other places, among which Sichuan has the best quality and the highest yield. It is suitable for growing in a warm and humid environment, and the planting site should have sufficient sunlight, sufficient water and relatively sufficient soil fertility. Deeply plow the land and do so together with decomposed farmyard manure; if the fertilizer is mixed evenly, then carry out fine cultivation, prepare the land and make beds, break the bed soil up finely, level the bed surface, and make the furrows 20 cm deep.

2. Sowing and Raising Seedlings

Changshan planting generally uses the seed propagation method. There are not many varieties of Changshan, and because there are actually many medicinal herbs that can replace Changshan in our lives, the planting area is not large. We need to select high-quality varieties, then prepare the seedbed well, and then sow the seeds evenly in rows. Before sowing, note that the seedbed should be watered thoroughly before sowing, which can improve the seeds' water absorption capacity and thus promote the speed of seed germination.

3. Transplanting and Field Planting

The seeds germinate relatively quickly, and transplanting can generally be carried out in early spring. Generally, when the seedlings grow to about 15 to 20 cm tall, they can be transplanted. When pulling up the seedlings, they need to be pulled out together with the base soil of the seedbed, so that after transplanting the seedlings adapt to the environment more quickly, thereby increasing the survival rate of the planted seedlings. Finally, the field planting density is generally about 30 cm between rows and 25 cm between plants.

4. Cultivation and Weeding

After Changshan has survived field planting, we need to carry out the first weeding, along with cultivation and earthing up. When cultivating, do not plow deeply, so as not to damage the root system of Changshan and cause the surviving Changshan to die

. Second, during the growth process of Changshan, we need to carry out cultivation at least four times, while weeding needs to be done in a timely manner according to the growth of weeds in the field.

5. Fertilizer and Water Management

In order to promote the growth of Changshan, fertilizer and water management in the later period is very critical. Generally after field planting, we need to water, usually about once every ten days; in summer, watering is generally needed in the morning and evening, and in the case of continuous rainfall for many days, excess water should be drained from the medicinal field in a timely manner. Fertilization needs to be carried out scientifically according to the growth of Changshan. If the branches and leaves of Changshan turn yellow, it is generally caused by poor nutrition, and at this time we need to fertilize. At the end of spring and the beginning of summer, as well as at the end of autumn and the beginning of winter, we all need to apply decomposed compost to enhance soil fertility.

The above are the planting methods for Changshan, and that is all for the editor's introduction today.
