Modern parks and scenic areas all plant them in broad masses to form landscapes. Now let us take a look together at when the blooming period of hydrangeas is!
When is the blooming period of hydrangeas?
1. Hydrangea blooming time: Hydrangeas bloom in late May to July each year.
2. Length of hydrangea blooming period: The time from blooming to fading is about 25 days.
Why does the flower color of hydrangeas change?
Because the soil or medium in which bigleaf hydrangeas are planted, as well as the organic fertilizer or nutrient solution applied, differ in pH, their flowers produce different colors, and they change with changes in the pH of the soil or medium. The flower color generally changes from dark to light, that is, gradually from light purple and blue to water red, or even white.
How can the blooming period of hydrangeas be extended?
1. Remove the leaves of the hydrangea as much as possible, spray the flower and leaf surfaces with a 500-fold dilution of Xin Gaozhi Mo, and allow the flowers to evaporate water and nutrients.
2. After harvesting, spray with Xin Gaozhi Mo and immediately soak the flower stems in water.
3. It is best to harvest in the cooler morning, and to harvest those plants with half to 2/3 of their flower buds about to open.
4. Place the hydrangeas in an acidic environment with a pH of 4.0 to 5.0, then ensure at least 4 hours of rehydration. During transport, first spray a 500-fold dilution of Xin Gaozhi Mo on the flower surfaces to prevent water evaporation, and wrap the flower stems with a water pipe and cotton cloth soaked with water.
5. Hydrangeas should not be stored in a cold storage for more than 2 days; the more suitable storage temperature is 3 to 4°C or lower.
