How to propagate Echeveria 'Beautiful Lotus'? Detailed introduction to propagation methods
1. Leaf Cuttings
This method can be carried out during its growing season. First, select plump, robust, healthy and intact leaves, twist them off by hand, and lay them flat on the surface of sandy soil, and the leaf cutting is complete.
However, after cutting, make sure the sandy soil remains slightly moist for a long time, and the environment must not be too dry, while also ensuring the temperature is above 18 degrees. After some time, new shoots will emerge from the broken end, and when these small shoots grow a little bigger, they can be cut off and planted separately.
2. Division
This method is best carried out in spring and autumn. The specific method is the same as for most other flowers: first dig out the entire plant, then select the better-growing, robust and plump divisions for replanting.
However, when digging out the mother plant, be sure to take care not to damage its roots, because once the roots are injured, it cannot absorb nutrients from the flower soil, which will prevent the new plant from growing.
3. Sowing
Although this method is easy, collecting seeds is not easy, because when growing this plant, if care is not proper, it may not bloom, and without blooming, seeds cannot be collected.
If ready-made seeds are available, you can choose to sow in spring, but its germination time is relatively long, which requires patience. There is not much else particular about sowing; it is the same as sowing most plants. Just ensure the environment is warm.
