1. Peel off the bulb

First, peel off all the membrane and soil and other debris on the narcissus bulb clean, to prevent the narcissus bulb from rotting.

2. Carve the flower bud

Carry out the lid-opening treatment, and note that the depth used must not exceed the radius length of the bulb. After finishing, carve again. Hold the narcissus head with the left hand, place the right index finger against the blade surface, and cut upward from 1 cm at the front of the bulb plate, shaving off all the scales so that all the leaf buds are exposed. When carving, we must not damage the flower bud, otherwise it will have a great impact on the flower when it grows out, be unfavorable for the flower's growth, and even reduce the survival rate.

3. Handle the leaves

In order to make the narcissus leaves become curved, we need to cut the leaf buds on both sides of the flower bud from bottom to top, or from top to bottom, either is fine. Gently shave off a part of the leaf; cutting to one fifth to two fifths is enough. When cutting from bottom to top, you can follow the principle of making the lower part small and the upper part large, shaving a bit more from the upper half. You can also let the leaves on both sides loosen so that they separate from the flower bud, then use the knife to gently shave.

4. Carve the flower scape stalk

The effect of this step is similar to shaving the leaf buds. Cut according to the shape, and note that the force must be light, otherwise if you cut it badly it will not be able to grow normally. There are many ways to carve, and their treatment methods are all different.

II. Precautions

1. Be careful during operation, do not cut too deep, and absolutely do not damage the rhizome. Once it is cut, the plant will very likely be unable to grow normally.
