Bowl lotus is a flower that grows in water year-round. It belongs to the lotus family, and because of its attractive form and striking, beautiful colors, it is deeply loved by many people. Many people keep one or two pots of it in their courtyard or in their hall. So when we grow it, how do we plant bowl lotus in mud? Let's take a look together!

1. Seed treatment

First, place the good seeds you prepared in advance in water above 10 degrees for about 10 days. Slowly, they will grow leaf buds. When they have grown two leaf buds and a core, they can be planted in mud.

2. Pot and soil preparation

Because the seeds have just been prepared, their buds are still relatively small, so there is no need to use a very large container to hold them. You can first use a smaller pot for cultivation, and once the plant grows a bit larger, replace it with a suitable container. At the beginning, when it is still small, you can choose to use a teacup or another glass container for growing it, but the container must be able to shade the lower half, because the roots of the lower half of the bowl lotus are very sensitive to light, so they cannot be exposed to light for a long time. Bowl lotus does not have high requirements for soil; garden soil or soil from a flower bed will both work. The soil does not need to be too fertile; too much nutrition will instead burn the roots.

3. Planting in mud

First put the soil into the prepared container, piling it to about 3 to 4 cm thick. Use your finger to dig a small hole, put the roots of the plant in, and then cover it with soil.

4. Water

After fixing the plant in place, you can water it, but the water level must not be too high; it only needs to overflow by 2-3 cm. This method can provide insulation and allow the plant to grow quickly.

5. Light

After all the above steps are completed, place it in the sunlight. Through exposure to the sun, it can grow many root hairs and quickly grow leaves.

The above are the method and steps for planting bowl lotus in mud. Bowl lotus develops rather slowly in the early stage, especially during the period when it is being cultivated in water to sprout. After planting it in pot soil, choose as small a pot as possible, and do not start fertilizing. A bowl lotus plant that has just sprouted cannot tolerate fertilizing. Wait until it is a bit larger in the later stage before fertilizing. In this way, you can avoid the situation of burning the roots.
