I. Different attributes
The dragon bone and the three-angled arrow are different plants, and there are obvious differences in their attributes. Among them, the dragon bone is also called Caiyun Pavilion, Triangle Overlord Whip, and is a succulent plant of the genus Euphorbia in the family Euphorbiaceae. The three-angled arrow is also called Overlord Flower, Measuring-the-Sky Ruler, and it is a plant of the genus Hylocereus in the family Cactaceae.
II. Different appearance
The stem of the dragon bone is very thick and very long, and some can reach more than 8 m. In appearance, it is fleshy, green, with 3 broad ribs, and there are small pit holes in the axils between the rib edges. Compared with the former, the three-angled arrow has more branches, the ribs are wide and very thin, there are aerial roots on the stem, and the spacing between the spines is about three or four cm.
III. Different flowers
The two can also be distinguished by their flowers. When the dragon bone blooms, the flowers are solitary, 25-30 cm long. The calyx is petal-like, yellow-green. The petals are white. When the three-angled arrow blooms, the flower color is white, funnel-shaped, with the outer petals yellow-green and the inner ones white.

The two can also be distinguished by their fruit. When the dragon bone bears fruit, the fruit shape is elliptical then ovate, 6-12 cm long, about 4-10 cm in diameter, red on the surface, and the flesh is white. The fruit of the three-angled arrow is oblong, slightly larger than the former.
