How to make a miniature narcissus bonsai? 5 easy steps
How to make a miniature bonsai with narcissus:
Determine the theme:
First, roughly conceive the theme you want to create, similar to the meaning you want to express, etc. This is a very important point; only with a concept is there creation.
Material selection:
Choose a small flower pot you like, or you can use a small purple clay pot; when selecting the plant, you can take offset bulbs with flower buds from the main mother bulb ranging from 10 bulbs to 20 bulbs, with no limit on the number.
Carving the flower bulb:
The carving method is the same as for normal potted narcissus, mainly pruning its flower bulb, which allows it to enter the flowering period earlier, and under suitable conditions it can be maintained for about one month. However, note that after pruning its flower bulb, it must be washed with clean water for 3 consecutive days, mainly to wash away the liquid seeping from the pruned parts, and at the same time all the water must be poured out at night, with normal watering resumed during the day, also for three consecutive days.
Care:
The care method is the same as for normal potted care, but there are also differences, namely temperature; the daytime temperature is best controlled at around 10°C, while the nighttime temperature is best above 4°C.
Pruning and adjustment:
When the flowers begin to open, prune the plant once, removing all the denser or weaker branches and leaves, then reasonably adjust the position of some flowers, and finally let its root system be completely exposed outside.
Special reminder:
Narcissus needs more water than ordinary plants, so during the care process, replenishment must be timely.
