How to grow a Peace Lily tree? Learn the propagation methods to keep green trees evergreen at home
The Peace Lily tree is a plant that everyone loves very much. Keeping one pot at home keeps the home evergreen all year round, and it looks great placed on a desk or in the living room. If you want to grow another pot, many people will go to the flower market to buy one, and some people will propagate it themselves at home. So, how do you propagate a Peace Lily tree?
Seed propagation
Many people may not know that the Peace Lily tree can be propagated by sowing seeds. The seeds produced after the Peace Lily tree blooms can be used for propagation. When sowing seeds for propagation, it is best to do it in autumn, around September.
1. The method of seed propagation is to take out the seeds during propagation and soak them in warm water. Doing this can increase the germination rate of the Peace Lily tree.
2. Place the soaked seeds on a sand bed, then cover them with straw or something similar. Note that the straw must be moist, and you must also keep the sand bed moist. After about one month, they will sprout.
3. After the Peace Lily tree sprouts and grows 5 or 6 leaves, transplant it into a suitable flower pot.
Cuttage propagation
Besides seed propagation, the Peace Lily tree can also be propagated by cuttage, and cuttage is relatively simpler. Cuttage propagation is generally best done in summer, when the survival rate is relatively high, and it can also be done in spring. When taking cuttings, you only need to find relatively thick and strong branches and cut them off. You can dip them in a little rooting powder, which can help the Peace Lily tree root better and improve the survival rate of cuttage. Then insert them into prepared soil, pay attention to care, and before long they will take root and grow new buds.
If you want to propagate a Peace Lily tree relatively quickly in ordinary times, choosing the cuttage method is faster. Seed propagation takes a relatively long time, so many people do not use it much. But if you are not in a hurry to propagate, or if the season happens to be suitable for propagation, you can choose seed propagation.
