Many friends like to keep some potted green plants at home, and whether for practicality or ornamental value, pothos is usually the first choice. Although it is seen by the general public as a very easy plant to grow, there are still some friends who cannot grow it well. Perhaps the poor growth of the pothos is due to a lack of nutrients.

Nutrients are essential for plant growth, and the same is true for pothos. The pothos's lush stems and leaves and bright green foliage are all inseparable from the contribution of nutrients. There are many ways to supplement nutrients for pothos: you can use fertile soil, you can apply topdressing, and you can also make your own nutrient solution to spray on it, and all of these can often achieve the goal of increasing nutrients.

But among the many ways of supplementing nutrients, the editor recommends homemade nutrient solution, because it not only saves money, but the making method is also simple and practical, and it can also make the pothos leaves grow both lush and thick. Especially for pothos in a hydroponic environment, applying nutrient solution is very suitable. Today, the editor will share it with everyone.

1. First, we need to prepare an empty spray bottle, then pour some leftover beer into the spray bottle, preferably expired beer whose alcohol has completely evaporated.

2. Generally, pour about one spoonful of beer into the spray bottle, then pour 10 times the amount of clean water into the spray bottle, and let it fully mix with the beer into a solution.

3. Finally, we only need to screw the spray bottle cap on tightly, and then we can spray it directly on the pothos leaves.

Of course, before spraying the beer solution, be sure to shake the spray bottle several times so that the beer and water inside are completely merged into one, and wait until the solution becomes uniform before spraying it on the pothos.

Note that when spraying, usually focus on the leaves, and spray both the front and back of the leaves evenly. Even spray a little on the plant's stems and branches and on the potting soil, so that the plant's leaves and roots can fully absorb the nutrients in the beer solution as much as possible.

After applying the beer solution to potted pothos, the plant not only grows better, but the leaves are also greener, thicker, and more glossy. Generally, spraying it 2-3 times a week is enough, and usually after 2 weeks we can clearly see that the pothos's growth will become very vigorous.
