How should hibiscus be cared for after transplanting?
After transplanting hibiscus, there are four main care measures: light, watering, temperature and pruning. Place it in a brightly lit spot, water it moderately to keep the potting soil moist, and maintain the most suitable growing temperature at 20-26 degrees. When transplanting seedlings, pinch out the growing tips, and during the growing season prune the branches a little.
1. Suitable light: After transplanting hibiscus, keep suitable light conditions. Since growth is not yet that stable, it can generally be placed in a brightly lit spot. After a period of time it can receive enough sunlight to promote full growth of the plant and achieve a lush result.
2. Moderate watering: After transplanting hibiscus, water it moderately. Since it likes to grow in a moist environment, water it moderately to keep the potting soil moist, and by no means allow waterlogging to occur, otherwise the roots cannot absorb effectively and root rot will appear.
3. Warm environment: After transplanting hibiscus, ensure a warm growing environment, since it likes to grow in a warm environment, and the most suitable growing temperature is 20-26 degrees. Therefore, in a high-temperature environment take cooling measures, and in a low-temperature environment take warming measures to avoid freezing damage to the plant.
4. Regular pruning: After transplanting hibiscus, prune regularly. For example, when the seedling grows to 20 cm, select 3-4 new branches of comparable growth strength and even distribution, and remove all the remaining axillary buds. During the growing season, prune off leggy branches, thin weak branches, dead or diseased branches, etc.
