The Latest Method for Making Landscape Rock Bonsai: Easily Create a Stunning Work
Landscape rock bonsai is a three-dimensional painting. Through the author's artistic processing and the magical technique of moving heaven and shrinking earth, it reproduces natural beauty in a tiny pot through the forms of mountain bodies, plants, and accessory arrangements. And the rockery is the main body of the landscape rock bonsai, and only after the production of the rockery is completed can a complete landscape rock bonsai be assembled. So, let us first make the rockery.
Tools/Materials
Tools: saw, chisel, pliers, hammer, inlay board, brush, etc.
Materials: shallow-mouthed pot, landscape rocks, cement, sand, etc.
Steps/Methods:
1. Conceptual design: Before making the rockery, you must have a clear plan in mind. You must determine what type of bonsai to make and what kind of bonsai shape it will be, otherwise you will not know where to start. According to the concept, initially place the shape of the mountain body in a sand tray. Note: The height and size of the rockery must be coordinated with the size ratio of the shallow-mouthed pot.
2. Bonding and gluing the rockery: gluing the mountain body
First step, first mix the cement glue slurry properly. Note that the glue slurry should be mixed as it is used, and also pay attention to the thickness consistency of the glue slurry.
Second step, stone processing. Use tools such as a hammer, chisel, and saw to process the mountain body that needs to be glued so that it has texture and a relatively unusual shape.
Third step, bonding the mountain body. Apply cement glue slurry separately with an inlay board to both sides of the landscape rocks that need to be bonded so that the rocks fit together as one. When bonding, pay attention to trying to make the joint of the landscape rocks show no trace of breakage, and also pay attention to cleaning off excess glue slurry at the joint.
3. Maintaining the rockery: After the mountain body is completed, it must not be touched or moved immediately. It should be sprayed with water and maintained for two to three days, and only then will the mountain body basically become firm.
Landscape rock bonsai can also have two rockeries appearing in one pot at the same time, one as the host mountain and the other as the guest mountain. (The host mountain is relatively tall, and the guest mountain is relatively low.) At this time, two rockeries must be made for one bonsai.
4. For the finished mountain body, you can give it slight decoration, arrange soil, and add some small green branches, etc. After these tasks are all completed, the production of the rockery mountain body is considered complete. After production is completed, the rockery cannot be moved immediately. It needs to be maintained for several days. It is best to spray it with water and give it about three days of care so that the rockery can be better reinforced.
