How long to ferment rice water for watering flowers? Teach you a method to ferment it without smell
1. How long to ferment
The time needed to ferment rice water is not very long; if short, it is about one week, and if long, it needs to be fermented for about 20-30 days. During fermentation, it should be placed in sunlight; the better the sunlight, the faster the fermentation. If fermenting in winter when the light is weaker, the waiting time will become longer. When you find that the rice water has changed from cloudy to clear, and the odor has also become weaker, it means the fermentation is done.
Note that it must be used only after fermentation, otherwise it will harm the root growth of the plant and also make the flowers drop; in severe cases, the entire plant will wither and die. Although watering flowers after fermentation is beneficial to flower growth, it should not be used too frequently; generally, using it once every 15-20 days is enough.
2. How to ferment it so it does not smell
1. Add orange peel: When fermenting, you can cut orange peel into pieces and put it in together, or use pomelo peel as well. Because they give off a fresh fragrance, this can greatly reduce the odor produced by fermentation.
2. Ventilate appropriately: This method means loosening the lid appropriately, not sealing it too tightly, so that the odor during fermentation will gradually be released, and after fermentation is complete it will no longer smell. Or after fermentation is complete, unscrew the lid and let the odor dissipate.
